Elena Colesnicenco

Assistant director

Elena was born in Moldova.

She attended the State Ballet School of Moldova from 1986 until she graduated in 1994.

She then went on to work for the Theatre of Classical & Modern Dance before joining The National Opera & Ballet in Chisinau, Moldova.

While dancing, she also studied at the Academy of Music, Theatre & Fine Arts as a dance teacher.

In 2002, Elena joined the Imperial Russian Ballet Company.

She is currently Assistant Director of the Company, as well as the teacher and coach of the Corps de Ballet.

She has won numerous awards for Dance and the Arts including the Diaghilev Medal in 1994 for her contribution to the development of Russian Culture.
